We supervise it and we arrange the labor. Long Beach is a 30 minute run from our shop, which means a problem found during move-in gets solved from the shop rather than from a hardware store.
Long Beach programs are built in Anaheim and usually go direct. The booth is assembled and checked in our building before it is crated, so the first full build is not happening on the floor of the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center.
ISS and the spring calendar at the convention center are the pressure points. Twelve to sixteen weeks for a custom island is comfortable. Short-notice Long Beach work is one of the few places we will say yes to a tight date without flinching, because of the drive.
Footprint and complexity drive it. Freight barely registers at this distance, so more of your money ends up in the booth and less in getting it there.
